Micromax's Superfone A50 Ninja enters India with AISHA voice assistant, forgets its shuriken
Hoping to compete with the Siris of the world, Micromax has announced its new Superfone A50 Ninja alongside a novel feature dubbed AISHA -- which is short for Artificial Intelligence Speech Handset Assistant. Similar to Cupertino's personal secretary, AISHA vows to help folks with every-day elements such as making calls, setting up calendar events and even reporting what the weather looks like. Much to our disappointment, however, the A50 Ninja runs a not-so-new flavor of Android -- Gingerbread to be exact -- and Micromax left out any mention of Android 4.0. On the specs front, the dual-SIM Superfone sports a 3.1-inch display (mum's the word on the resolution), a two-megapixel shooter, Bluetooth 2.0 capabilities and an unspecified 650MHz processor. All in all, thanks to its 4,999 rupees (around $95) budget price, we can't imagine you'd complain too much. Be sure to hit up the Micromax link below if you're interested in grabbing one of these.

Apple and Samsung set to meet May 21st, hug it out over 48 hours
These two brawlers were given until July to come together and mediate over their numerous globe-spanning patent lawsuits, but it appears neither side needs to wait that long. According to Foss Patents, May 21st and 22nd have been circled on the calendar of a certain San Francisco courthouse, where Magistrate Judge Joseph C. Spero will attempt to arbitrate in a calm, soothing voice for two days straight. Presenting himself as a confidant who sits outside of the main litigation being conducted in San Jose, Spero has already asked both parties to open up and provide "candid" statements about the strengths and weaknesses of their own cases, as a first step towards identifying areas of compromise. Fortunately, he still has a few weeks in which to devise further cunning plans.

Beyonce 'Committed' To Wearing Heels Until Giving Birth
'It makes me laugh thinking about it,' singer tells People of her pre-baby beauty regime.
By Jocelyn Vena
<P>Beyoncé loves her some heels. In the days leading up to the <a href="/news/articles/1676906/beyonce-jay-z-baby-born-ivy-blue.jhtml">birth of her baby, Blue Ivy</a>, Queen B was <a href="/news/articles/1676647/beyonce-pregnant-new-years.jhtml">spotted around New York</a> with her hubby, Jay-Z, and her stilettos. <a href="/news/articles/1683832/beyonce-people-most-beautiful-woman.jhtml"><i>People</i> magazine's Most Beautiful Woman</a> has opened up about wanting to stay as glam as possible, right up until she went into labor. </P><P> </P><P>"I didn't feel that I looked beautiful during birth — but who does? After being pumped with all those fluids and gaining so much weight, with my swollen lips and cheeks, I barely recognized myself," </P><P>she said in the issue hitting newsstands Friday, <a href="http://www.pressparty.com/pg/newsdesk/beyonce/view/45626/" </P><P>target="_blank">Pressparty.com</a> reports. "I tried my best to roller-set my hair and I wore my [lip] gloss when I arrived at the hospital." </P><P> </P><P><embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtv.com:724018/cp~vid%3D724018%26uri%3Dmgid%3Auma%3Avideo%3Amtv.com%3A724018" width="460" height="260" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" base="."></embed> </P><P> </P><P>But all of that hard work went out the window once the <i>really</i> hard work of having the baby kicked in. "I committed to the end and wore my kitten heels. It makes me laugh thinking about it," she recalled. "But after many hours of labor, I didn't care how I looked. </P><P>It was all about the miracle that God gave me — the opportunity to deliver a human being." </P><P> </P><P>Beyoncé may not have felt hot in the hospital, but fans were certainly surprised by how hot she looked for her first post-baby appearance, hitting the New York party scene to celebrate <a href="/news/articles/1678726/beyonce-post-baby-appearance-blue-ivy.jhtml">Jay-Z's Carnegie Hall shows</a> in February, weeks after giving birth. The singer herself was surprised by how quickly she managed to look so good. </P><P> </P><P>"I'm proud that my waist came back so fast. ... I had to get my tone back. I'm definitely softer," she said. "But I feel my body bouncing back. Whatever was tight and muscular, like my legs, I'm seeing it come back. You just have to work at it." </P><P> </P><P>Beyoncé will return to the stage next month for several shows in Atlantic City. She's also reportedly working on new music to follow up 2011's <i>4.</i></p>

Apple working on 21,468 square-foot cafeteria in Cupertino, wants employees' chatter to be safe
How do you keep your employees chit chat from spilling the beans on your next one more thing? You force the beans to be served in an employee-only 21,468 square-foot cafeteria -- that's how. According to Mercury News, Apple just got the go-ahead from the Cupertino Planning Commission on its scheme to build a colossal two-story bistro exclusively for staff members. While the facility will be mainly used for eating purposes during lunch hours (11:30AM to 2PM, to be exact), it'll also accommodate meeting rooms and lounge areas. Apple's Director of Real Estate Facilities, Dan Whisenhunt, says the company needs to provide its people with a sense of security "without fear of competition sort of overhearing their conversations." Now, we can't help but wonder if it's going to look anything like that spaceship...

Acer's Q1 2012: World's fourth biggest PC maker made just $11.2 million in profit
Acer's Q1 financial report reveals that the fourth biggest PC maker in the world is feeling weak after posting a very modest profit -- three months after it declared a $212 million loss for 2011. Turnover for the first three months of this year was NT$113 billion ($3.8 billion) and profits after tax were NT$331 million ($11.2 million). In context, the company suffered an 11.4 percent decline in revenue quarter-on-quarter, but still made NT$118 billion ($40 million) in profit during Q1 2011, a spectacular collapse of 72 percent year-on-year.
Reuters is suggesting that the problem is in part due to increased hardware costs caused by the Thailand floods, but the company isn't giving anything away. Instead its terse announcement just advised that the company grew its global PC market share by 0.8 percent to 10.9 percent, while in the EMEA region it grew 2.4 percent to 13.5 percent, adding that it is the only one of the "big five" that's seen any increase at all. You can read the scanty details for yourself, after the break.

Google+ Share button gives you another option aside from plain 'ol +1s
Although Google's had its +1 button all over the web for some time now, helping folks show their allegiance to things they like, it's lacked a dedicated button just for sharing content. That's now changed, as the Google+ development team recently let loose the Share button. The button is similar in appearance to its +1 sibling, but rather than just being a shortcut for quickly slapping content with a virtual high-five, it gives you a way to easily share pages on your Google+ profile. (Yes, you could share through the +1 button, too, but consider this one a bit more focused). Best of all, the Google+ Share button is ready to roll, so move your cursor to the source link below if you'd like to put it on your site or find out more. Happy Liking sharing!

American Idol Top 6 Performances: Queen Me!
With an ailing Ryan Seacrest at the helm, and with the challenge in front of them to cover a band whose prime started and ended long before any of them were born, the American Idol final six took to the stage last night.
For their first song of the evening, Phillip, Skylar and company were asked to cover a classic by Queen. Who deserves to stick around? Watch all the initial round of performances now and then cast your vote...
Jessica Sanchez kicked things off with the song made famous by Wayne's World, "Bohemian Rhapsody."
Skylar Laine then sent the kind of message that's been relayed to injured athletes and actors for generations: "The Show Must Go On."
As usual, Joshua Ledet proceeded to soulfully slow things down with "Crazy Little Thing Called Love."
Elise Testone? She wants it all! And she wants it now! Watch her rendition of... "I Want It All."
Phillip Phillips didn't need his guitar for this version of "Fat-Bottomed Girls." What do you think?
Hollie Cavanagh closed this round with what appeared to be a plea to viewers across the land: "Save Me."

NimbleTV streams cable content to 'any' device, launching 'in the next few months'
With services like Aereo TV taking a similar streaming approach -- and getting sued in the process -- NimbleTV won't have an easy road ahead, but the outfit's willing to take its chances. The startup plans to launch its subscription-based offering to the public within the next few months, allowing future users to stream cable content to unspecified devices at any time and from anywhere on the globe -- all thanks to Nimble's cloud-based software. However, unlike some of its competitors, NimbleTV will give customers the ability to select channel packages based on personal preferences, though that'll depend heavily on the TV providers going along for the ride. While the service will only be available in the US and India at first, the company does plan a broader launch at some point in the future. No word yet on how pricing will play out, but there is a NYC-only beta (just as Aereo did) which you can join now by giving the source below a quick click.

Madonna Nude Photo to Be Auctioned
A literally smoking-hot photograph of a nude Madonna lying seductively on a bed almost two decades ago is set to go to auction in New York next month, MTV reports.
The pic in question was taken by fashion photographer Steven Meisel for her controversial 1992 book Sex, but for whatever reason was never included in it.
Featuring a bleach-blonde Madge, the picture shows the queen of pop wearing nothing but a strategically-placed sheet and holding a cigarette to her lips.
Judith Eurich from the auction house selling the photo suggested that the cigarette was merely for dramatic purposes, telling the UK's Daily Mail:
"Madonna is, by all accounts, a very healthy person and I'd have to imagine the cigarette is just a prop to make her look sexy and sultry."
Indeed, Madonna recently blasted accusations of hypocrisy over her daughter Lourdes' smoking habit and insisted she doesn't even partake.
The latest photo of Madonna nude is expected to fetch more than £5,000 ($7,500 US) when it goes to auction at Bonhams on May 8. Sweet.

AT&T HTC One X will have free Dropbox space, company spokeswoman affirms
The AT&T HTC One X has found itself in the hands of a few lucky Android Forums members, and some of the biggest questions poised have had to do with storage. Remember that the AT&T One X has 16 gigabytes of internal storage, whereas the international version has 32GB. Of course, HTC Sense 4 devices come with 25 gigabytes of free Dropbox storage (for two years).
Wait. Are we sure about that? There's been a little bit of concern about Dropbox on the AT&T One X. According to Clcross18x and VarsityHacker, who have been detailing their early looks at the AT&T One X in our forums, Dropbox isn't preinstalled on the device, as it is on the International One X and One S, and on T-Mobile's version of the One S.
Writes VarsityHacker:
The AT&T version doesn't have Dropbox as stated. I loaded Dropbox on the phone and then setup an account and have only 2.5 GBs of storage, not 25 GB's. AT&T's website doesn't mention anything about Dropbox in the phone description and I don't remember seeing anything on the AT&T box about Dropbox. I wonder if this deal is only for the international version?
And, sure enough, going back to AT&T's announcement of the One X, Dropbox isn't mentioned anywhere.
Put down the pitchforks, though. AT&T spokeswoman Jackie Vettorino has some good news, telling Android Central "HTC One X consumers will also get the 25 GB Dropbox storage as part of HTC Sense 4."
Repeat: The HTC One X will get the extra 25GB of Dropbox storage as part of HTC Sense 4.
Partner that Dropbox space with what we've seen today from Google Drive (plus every other storage service out there), and things aren't looking quite so dire.
